Here’s the first trailer for the new doc on The Pogues’ Shane McGown

Shane McGowan is one of the most interesting characters in the history of Ireland. Known equally for his poetic lyrics and insane drinking habits (not to mention is legendarily bad teeth), he’s now the subject of a new documentary produced by Julien Temple and–wait for it–Johnny Depp.

Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds with Shane McGowan is set for released December 4, right about when The Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York” begins is Christmas season peak. The first trailer is out now.
