Here’s the trailer for Tom Morello’s movie, Metal Lords

Tom Morello is probably the closest anyone has come to Dave Grohl‘s workaholicness. Not only does he participate in a series of musical projects, work on a variety of activist causes, and a regular satellite radio show, he’s also now a movie producer.

Metal Lords is an upcoming film that features Tom as an executive producer. He’s working with D. B. Weiss, best known for Game of Thrones. The movie, which will be released on Netflix, is officially described this way.

“Two kids start a metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about metal. They can’t find a bassist, but there is this one girl who plays the cello. They need to work together if they’re ever going to win the Battle of the Bands. For teenage misfits Hunter and Kevin, the path to glory is clear. Devote themselves to metal. Win Battle of the Bands. And be worshipped like gods.”

  • I love the “Netflix” age. I certainly wouldn’t have gone to the movies for this, but Friday April 8th, I know what I’m gonna watch on the TV!

Will it be a timeless classic today’s youth will hold up for decades like Breakfast Club? Or will it be a movie you’ll finish and say, “yeah, that was pretty good,” and never watch again. Or will it be a turd sandwich? We’ll find out in 4 weeks!

PS I can’t stand that guy who is playing the dad! He ruined Love and Fleabag.
