Here’s the weekly Canadian CD and vinyl sales report. We’ll look at streaming, too. (18 June 2026)

As spring transitions into summer, let’s have a look at where things stand as far as CD and vinyl sales and then dip into the world of streaming. All figures from Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 28,308 (Up 0.9% from last week.)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 30,787 (Down 3.4% from last week.)
  • CDs sold in Canada so this year: 672,542 (Up 1.1% from a year ago. Sales continue to trend up.)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 800,544 (Up 4.6% from this time last year.)

  Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 3,066,716,789 (Down 2.0% from a week ago. This is the ninth week in a row where weekly streams exceeded three billion.)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 68,169,923,911 (Up 3.4% from last year.)
