Here’s your weekly Canadian vinyl, CD, and streaming report (03 Oct 2025)

Sorry for the delay this week, but I was traveling back from Asia (27 hours!) and things got a little behind. Here’s what happened with Canadian CD and vinyl sales this week along with a report on streaming numbers via Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 17,880 (Very anemic. Down 5.9% from last week)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 21,424 (flat within less than 200 copies from last week)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 1,106,474 (down 8.2% from this point last year)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 1,212,814 (up 14.5% from a year ago).

Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,963,874,477 (up 0.2% from last week)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 109,330,759,245 (up 5.7% from this time in 2024)
