Here’s your weekly Canadian vinyl, CD, and streaming report (19 June 2025)

For some reason, I didn’t get last week’s Luminate report on how Canadians bought vinyl and CDs along with how many songs have been streamed in the country. But we are now back to our regular programming.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 28,252 (up 3.4% from the previous week)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 31,930 (up 9.7% from a week earlier)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 663,134 (down 9.9% from a year ago)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 759,770 (ahead 14.1% from this point in 2024)

Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,973,775,145 (down 0.3% from last week)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 65,543,222,529 (up 5.3% from this time in 2024)
