Vinyl is king. CDs continue to look like old news in Canada. Here’s the latest from Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 24,945 (down 6.7% from last week.)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 25,420 (down 13.3% from last week)
  • CDs sold in Canada this year: 607,549 (down 9.3.2% from this same week last year)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 698,745 (up 13.4% from this point in 2024)

Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,973,285,787 (up 3.9% from a week earlier)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 59,586,807,184 (up 5.3% from this time last year)
