CDs and vinyl have been slugging it out for sale supremacy in Canada. Here’s the latest on the race courtesy of Luminate.

Total CD sales-to-date in 2024 as of last week: 669,812 (down 16.6% from a year ago.
Viny? 616,437
CD sales last week: 34,881 (up 11.6% from a week earlier, probably because of Billie Eilish)
Vinyl sales last week: 26,813 (up 6.9%)

Streaming? We’ve listened to 56,584,663,074 songs so far this year. That’s up 11.6% from this point in 2023. We listened to 2,819,194,459 songs.
