Hip Hoppers are Taking On Donald Trump. Where are the Rockers?

Hip hop artists and rappers haven’t been shy about taking on Donald Trump. Jeezy, Mac Miller, TIP, Chris Brown and others have all had something to say about the prospect of a President Trump. The latest dis comes from Dooley, Tlow and Lor Roger, a trio out of Baltimore.

The above video has gone viral, racking up 300,000 views in less than 24 hours after it was posted on Sunday (March 27).

Question: Where are all the rockers venting their anger, fear and confusion at the most controversial conservative politician since the days of Reagan and Thatcher? Instead, alt-rock is away in sad, introspective songs like Twenty One Pilots “Stressed Out.” Pop is in thrall to Lukas Graham’s “7 Years.” Are we going to leave the repsonsibility of creating protest music to hip hop?
