HMV Releases a Cool New App

If you’ve ever worked at a radio station or a record store, you’ve inevitably had a conversation that goes like this:  “I’m looking for a song.  I don’t know who does it or what it’s called, but it goes like this.”  And then they start singing it at you.

Thanks to apps like Shazam and Soundhound, those kinds of encounters aren’t necessary anymore.  And now HMV Canada has a new app that will make all their employees and customers less tense when it comes to identifying tunes.

The new smartphone app (iOS and Android) lets you identify a song using image or sound search recognition.  Then you can download the song instantly.
