Hodor Has Written a Song About Hodor. And Yes, It’s Called “Hold the Door.”

I’m still not quite sure what happened at the end of “The Door”, episode five of this season’s Game of Thrones. There was some weird time travel type thing going on with Bran’s warging that caused a young stable boy named Wylis to turn into the simple-minded Hodor. Whatever happened, it was upsetting and I totally cried about it.

The 19-year-old British actor who played Wylis, Sam Coleman, composed and performed a song last week for his ill-fated character. He then posted it to his SoundCloud account. The song is very well composed and a lovely tribute to poor Wylis/Hodor. Coleman says he “made [it] for a laugh” because he got bored.
