How can this woman not have heard the Foo Fighters before? Here’s her reaction video.

It’s another instalment of the Charismatic Voice in which trained opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff reacts to hearing rock songs for the first time. This woman must have spent decades touring the moons of Saturn not to have ever been exposed to Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters–yet her she is, experiencing “Everlong” for the first time.

It’s weird but her naivety is charming in a wholesome sort of way, too. How else do you accumulate 1.5 million followers? (Via Larry)

  • To be fair, she said that she has heard this song before, as she had a student learning it. However, she didn’t know that Dave was in Nirvana…such a sheltered life she leads!

  • I don’t believe her. Not even a little.

There is no possible way that any person living in a developed country can reach her age having never heard Foo Fighters, or The Rolling Stones, or Bob Dylan, or The Beatles, or Madonna, or the myriad artists she claims to have never heard.

Was she raised in the woods like Nell?
