How goes the CDs vs vinyl battle in Canada this week?

Apologies for delivering this info a day late, but I was traveling to the UK to see the Cure tonight. I’ll have more on that later. Meanwhile, here’s how the CDs vs vinyl battle is going in Canada.

  • Total CD sales in Canada last week: 30,725 (up 6.8% from the previous week)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 29,863 (down 6.2% from a week earlier)
  • CD sales in Canada so far this year: 1,354,543 (down 11.2% from 2023)
  • VInyl sales in Canada so far this year: 1,208,351 (up 30.6% from a year ago)

Streaming stats? Sure!

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,781,581,524 (up 1.8% from a week earlier)
  • Songs streamed in Canada this year: 117,264,345,721 (up 10.1% from this point in 2023)
