How Much Does the Average iTunes User Spend Each Year?

The answer?  About $40.  Meanwhile, material is downloaded from iTunes at more than 1,000 units per second.  Apps are far and away the most popular download (800-ish units per second) with music in second place (250-ish units per second).

Given that load, it’s remarkable how fast iTunes generally is, isn’t it?  More cool stats and graphs at Asymco.
