I Like This: The Slants

Yes, the name is controversial, but that doesn’t bother this Portland-based group of Asian-Americans.  Then again, the chances of them getting any mainstream radio/video exposure is about equal to NWA if they were to unabbreviate their name.

Their third album is called Pageantry, the follow up to Slanted Eyes, Slanted Hearts.  The band and their fans call what they do “Chinatown dance rock.”  This is good stuff.
