ICE has violated the copyright of another song
People in the Trump administration think they can just grab anyone’s song and use it anyway they like. You can’t do that. It’s a clear violation of copyright and intellectual property laws. Yet again, ICE has been caught doing something illegal musically, this time by MGMT.
Back on October 23, the Department of Homeland Security posted something on Xitter that used MGMT’s “Little Dark Age” as a soundtrack. MGMT, of course, did not give them permission to do this nor were any of the required fees paid. This is another area in which ICE feels it’s above the law.

It’s off Xitter thanks to a takedown notice, but as of 8am EDT Sunday (Oct 28), it’s still up on Instagram and Bluesky.
ICE isn’t the first to use this song. It’s been stolen by a number of neo-Nazi outfits over the years.
Let me repeat that; ICE is using the same song featured by other neo-Nazi extreme right-wing groups.
