  • There is a guy that rocks out to his music stopped at street lights, usually can be found walking around in the west end of Edmonton. I have heard they call him Dancing Dan, and that he is from Spruce Grove. There should be a story about him somewhere online as the police issued him a ticket one day for whatever reason. I believe The Bear (EDM rock station) talked about it on air and fans paid for his ticket. I haven't seen him in quite awhile now, and I am not sure what he likes to listen to but he loves to dance and rock out at red lights.

  • Dancing Dan still rocks in his own little world!

I haven't seen him for a while, but he was working at the Tempos gas station in Spruce Grove for quite a while. Working the pumps? Nope. He would wear the Tempo uniform and stand along the road and get down with his bad self! He was getting paid to dance!

Used to see him along 178st in West Ed for a number of years.

At first I thought he was "special." Then I saw an interview with him on Global, and he's just a normal guy that can't help but move to the beat.

For those not in the Edmonton area, Dancing Dan is this fairly normal looking guy, always seen with the headphones on and dancing. Walking around the streets of Edmonton, standing at the bus stop, waiting for the lights to change. He's been quite the fixture in Edmonton for a number of years now. Everyone seems to know who he is!
