If you missed the Zoom tour through my vinyl library, I recorded it. Watch it now.

I’ve done dozens of speaking gigs booked through Side Door Access, mostly in private homes and various eating/drinking establishments. But now that COVID-19 has killed off live performances, Side Door has pivoted to helping artists book gigs online.

Most of Side Door’s acts are musicians. I’m maybe the only spoken word client, so they asked me to try an experiment with a Zoom meet-up. Here are the results from this test on April 30, 2020.

Alan Cross

In his 30+ years in the music business, Alan has interviewed the biggest names in rock, from David Bowie and U2 to Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters. He’s also known as a musicologist and documentarian through programs like The Ongoing History of New Music.

Caught the live salon in Goderich back in February, and this supplemented it nicely. Thanks for recording and posting! Next time? Love to hear more about how you discovered the artist or albums you feature, or interviews you did with the artists. There are some great stories behind each!
