If You Saw Dave Grohl’s Sound City, You Need to Know More About Rick Springfield

I was never much of a Rick Springfield fan, although I do appreciate his taste in dogs.  The English bull terrier on the cover of Working Class Dog is named Ron.  Like Rick, I prefer this breed to all others. In fact, the Schmooze is sleeping in the recliner–we called it the “Barkcolounger”–right behind me as I type this.

If you saw Dave Grohl’s Sound City documentary, you’ll know that Neil Geraldo played the guitar part of “Jesse’s Girl” with Ron’s nose stuffed meanacingly in his crotch.  That explains some of the urgency in the playing.

Which brings me to this video about the song.  Enjoy.  (Thanks to Greggory for the link.)
