In the old days, parents would hope that their kids would grow up to be doctors and lawyers so they could be supported in their old age. Others pushed their children into sports in hoping they’d make the pros. Today, parents should think about encouraging their kids to be DJs.

Forbes has again estimated the earnings of the top DJs in the world and–well, just look. All figures in US$.

  • Sounds great for these 10, and maybe a few thousand others too, but it’s a dying career, the vast majority of DJ’s announcers, newsreaders and talk show hosts are one good Ipad app or two from extinction.
