If you’re interested in concert sound, watch this

Getting an act to sound as good as possible in concert is part science, part art, part voodoo. Done poorly, the whole live experience collapses. But if done right, the gig can be transcendent.

Dave Nathale is a famous concert soundman having worked with Van Halen, Tina Turner Jeff Beck, Mötley Crüe, The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, and Yes. He’s also been responsible for the live sound of the Super Bowl halftime show five or six times.

Rick Beato spoke with him about how he makes his clients sound great live.
