If you’ve ever thought about digitizing your record collection, here’s how the Internet Archive does it

There are many reasons why you might want to digitize an analogue music format: storage, preservation, distribution, and so on. But it’s a laborious process that needs to be done in real time.

Here’s a tweet from the Internet Archive which is dedicated to preserving things like old 78 RPM records. This is how they do things.
