If you’ve got dreams of music journalism, take a look at this

Getting into the business of music journalism has never been tougher. With the collapse of the music magazine ecosystem (RIP Q, Smash Hits, Vox, Sounds, Circus, etc., etc.) and the ease of online publishing (a gig that barely pays, if at all), the opportunities for a career aren’t looking good.

It’s bad, but not hopeless.

New Feeling is made up of a small group of music writers from Canada who have maintained an online home for music journalism in this country. New Feeling believes in a publication owned by both the writers and readers.

Tilting at windmills? Hardly. The group just celebrated its fifth anniversary over which time they’ve published 24 themed issues. In other words, it’s a music journalism co-op. Membership starts at just $6 a month.
