WTF?

IKEA Discontinuing Their Vinyl-Friendly Shelving. WTF, Sweden?

You’d think that with the consistent rise in the popularity in vinyl over the past couple of years, IKEA would have come up with even more shelving options for record collectors.  Instead, they’ve cut their best shelves from their catalogue.

Expedit has been a terrific solution for storing vinyl.  But according to a story out of Germany and now getting coverage in Australia, Expedit is being axed in favour of a lighter (read: can hold less weight) line called Kallax.

So much for that slogan “IKEA: Swedish for common sense.”
