I don’t have to go into how learning how to play a musical instrument is beneficial to the brain, do I? The connection between music education and brainpower has been well documented, yet many areas of the school system continue to skimp on teaching kids about music. That’s where MusiCounts comes in.

MusiCounts is the charitable arm of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), the people in charge of staging the Junos every year. On January 28, there will be a special MusiCounts event at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto with the aim of raising money for its various programs.
