Remember when the purchase of digital tracks and albums was supposed to be the savior of the music industry? That was before anyone realized that streaming was the future of music consumption. The year-over-year drop in digital sales is beyond 20% in all the territories that matter. And the issue is particularly acute in the UK where the revenue from sales of vinyl have eclipsed digital albums. Statistica has this infographic:
