Inmates allege “torture” by “Baby Shark”

Three men who were held in the Oklahoma County Detention Centre claim that they were “tortured” back in 2019 by being forced to stand while the song “Baby Shark” played at high volume for hours.

The suit says “the volume of the song was so loud that it was reverberating down the hallways.” One of the plaintiffs says that he was subjected to this for four hours, all while being hit with verbal and physical assaults.

The two jail officers apparently responsible for this have since resigned. Both they and their supervisor face misdemeanour cruelty charges. All three men charged have since been released.
