Is it possible that Gen Z doesn’t know anything about Prince?

This recent video from Rick Beato brings our attention to this segment where a 26-year-old Mr Beast–a guy with 330 million YouTube followers and who is apparently plugged into pop culture in a way few people are–apparently knows nothing about Prince. He’s on YouTube ALL THE TIME!

In fact, the guy never heard of Prince before this interview segment. In an age where all generations are listening to all eras of music, how is this possible? (Via Rick J)

This is direct opposition to this Gen Z research. Talk about a weird culture gap.
