Is Lady Gaga a satanist? That’s what a suspected Brazilian terrorist says.

Last weekend, Lady Gaga set the world record for the largest-ever concert by a female artist when she attracted 2.5 million people to a free gig on Rio’s Copacabana Beach. The show is also notable for an attempted terrorist plot foiled by Brazilian police.

Luis da Silva was one of the alleged plotters. He wanted to stop Gaga from performing because “he said that the singer was a Satanist and that he was going to perform a Satanist ritual too, killing a child during the show.”

They also allegedly had ideas of shooting off guns and blowing things up in the crowd. Molotov cocktails and explosive backpacks were also apparently part of the plan.

There are also stories of how Da Silva and his crew are vehemently anti-LGBTQ+ and promoted hate speech against this community. They may have used Discord to try to recruit others to the cause.

Da Silva and an accomplice (who is only a teenager) were arrested hours before the show started. Da Silva had previously been deported from the US for an unknown reason.

The investigation continues.
