Is the hot sound of 2020…squeak rap? WTF?

I know it’s increasingly hard to come up with something new, but I’m not sure what to make of this. A guy who goes by the name S645AR is a pioneer in a new genre called “squeak rap.” I think it’s pretty much self-explanatory.

High-pitched mumble rapping? Auto Tune gone nuts. Mosquito trap? (Sorry). All I know is both my dogs ran screaming from the room holding their ears.

What’s going on here? Fortunately, there’s a explanation video.

Uh, sure. Godspeed, dude.
