Is the Jane’s Addiction reunion tour canceled? Has Dave Navarro left the band? After the onstage punch-up, nothing would be shocking. (UPDATES)
You’ve probably heard the story of the onstage punch-up between Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro in Boston last week. Roadies had to separate the two and the show ended. Word is Perry was pretty wasted and had a bottle of wine with him the whole thing. (Perry LOVE his wine.)
However, the next show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, was canceled. The next show on the schedule is Budweiser Stage on Wednesday (Sept 18).
Yeah, don’t count on it. Credible sources tell me that the tour has been canceled. We’re just waiting for some kind of official announcement one way or the other. And Dave Navarro may have already quit the band. Note his comment at the top of the post: “Goodnight.” He’s also been unfollowed by Perry Farrell. Dave has unfollowed the rest of the band, too.
If this is true, will anyone be surprised? When it comes to the dynamics in this band, nothing’s shocking. (Sorry about that.)
This is a developing story. I’m working on it.
