Is this the world’s first AI rock star?

AI-generated singers aren’t a new thing. If you’ve cared to pay attention to this fakery, we’ve already been introduced to Anna Indiana, Noonouri, and Lil Miquela, not to mention Hatsune Miku, who, while not strictly AI, is certainly generated.

But what about the first AI rock star? Have we had one of those yet? If not, Jett Jaxx would like to have that title.

I quote from the press release:

“Jett Jax was born in the metaverse, a digital realm where appearances change daily, and identities are fluid. Unlike others, Jett craved something real, something constant. Her journey from the metaverse to Earth symbolizes her quest for authenticity and belonging. With a bold rock aesthetic and a mission to promote self-acceptance and mental health awareness, Jett is set to make waves in both the digital and physical worlds.”

She (it?) was developed by a company called Rebel Edge. She’s (it’s?) gaining followers on Facebook and the YouTube views are on the way up. The numbers are still VERY modest, but this trend in AI fakery is worth following. It is, after all, early days.

What does Jett Jaxx sound like? Let’s find out.

She (it?) has two songs out. Very pop-punk.
