Cool!Vinyl

It’s the 50th anniversary of JAWS. There’s a new (and weird) soundtrack album.

Duh-dum. Duh-dum. De-dum de-dum de-dum. John Williams score for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 summer blockbuster JAWS is iconic. And with the movie celebrating the 50th anniversary of its release this month comes the inevitable reissue of the soundtrack. This one, though, is made with “shark-infested water.”

Universal Music is selling a clear vinyl version that has some water sandwiched between the layers. It’s very playable on any turntable and features new stereo mixes. Williams approved everything himself.

There are only 1975 copies (geddit?) available at US$99.99 each. Limit four per customer. If you buy now, you’ll get your copy in late October.
