We’re officially midway through 2026. Here’s what Luminate reports on Canadian CD and vinyl sales along with streaming stats at the halfway mark.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 30,796 (Up 7.2 from last week. After a one-week drop, we’re back to a weeks-long upward trend.)
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 35,337 (Up 0.2% from last week)
  • CDs sold in Canada so far this year: 762,976 (Up 1.8% from a year ago. Sales on an annual basis continue to trend up.)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 907,710 (Up 6.3% from this time last year.)

  Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,953,387,001 (Down 2.6% from a week ago. This is breaks an eleven-week streak where weekly streams exceeded three billion.)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 77,415,139,776 (Up 3.6% from last year.)
