Jack White’s New Project is a Children’s Book. No, Really.

At first look, it’s kinda Dr. Seuss-y. Look a little longer and it feels like a White Stripes project. And it is–sort of. Jack White’s new children’s book. We Going to be Friends, riffs on the Stripes’ song of the same name.

The book follows the Suzy Lee “as she goes to school with her books and pens, looks for bugs, shows and tells, and finds a friend.”

Written by Jack and illustrated by former Ren and Stimpy animator, Elinor Blake (she’s also singer April March), the book also includes a download of the original Stripes’ song.
