Jazz Harmonica Great Toots Thielemans Has Died, Taking Part of My Childhood with Him

Toots Thielemans brought the harmonica to jazz. He ended up playing with greats like Miles Davis, Benny Goodman and many others. H also contributed performances to innumerable soundtracks, including the theme from Midnight Cowboy. Even if you’ve never heard his name before, you know this one thing he did.

Toots died Monday at the age of 94.
