Joe Jackson, head of the Jackson clan, dead at 89

Joe Jackson, father of Michael, Janet, LaToya, Jermaine, Randy, Jackie, Tito, and Marlon (he had 11 children in total), has died at the age of 89. He’s been very ill with cancer and had been dealing with the effects of at least one heart attack, dementia, several strokes and injuries sustained in a car crash last year.

To say his relationship with his children was complicated is a big understatement. There were accusations of physical abuse, mental abuse, bullying and other unpleasantness.
