Johnny Rotten to Star in Jesus Christ Superstar. Wait–What?

Nope.  I checked the calendar.  This story is from April 4, which is well after the April Fool’s sell-by date.  Apparently it’s true.

According to Rolling Stone, Johnny Lydon has signed on for a 51 date traveling version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar which is being produced by Canadian Michael Cohl.  Johnny will play the role of King Herod.
