Speaking GigUncharted

Join me for a live podcast performance during Departure/Canadian Music Week. Here’s how.

Departure, the official new name for Canadian Music Week, will run from May 4 to 10 all over downtown Toronto. In addition to the music industry conference, showcases, a musical festival, comedy performances, and film screenings, there will be events like mine.

On May 7, I’ll be at the Jane Mallet Theatre (27 Front Street) for a live podcast performance of my series, Uncharted: Crime and Mayhem in the Music Industry. The title will be Music and the Mob.

The multimedia presentation will be filled with stories of gangsters, mobsters, goodfellas, bosses, capos, and soldiers, who got their mitts into various aspects of the music industry over the last 100 years. You’ll hear of rub-outs, kidnapping, beatings, bribes, booze, and a lot more. In fact, Martin Scorsese should think about adapting this for his next mob movie. Seriously.

This is one of the big Departure events this year.

Tickets can be found here. See you May 7.
