Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age needs emergency surgery

Although Josh Homme is a big strappin’ guy, he’s had some health issues over his career. In 2011, he went in for a routine procedure on his knee when something went wrong. While he was on the operating table, he died–well, technically. Doctors were able to revive him, obviously, but the recovery took months.

Now we hear that Queens of the Stone Age have to cancel eight shows on the current European tour because Josh has to go back to the US for some kind of emergency surgery. A gig was canceled on July 5 due to illness, so it sounds like something had been brewing for a bit. This social media post is all we know.

Get better soon, Josh.
