Juno Awards 2016 Wrap-Up, Part 1: The Winners

In a nice, tight two-hour broadcast–it was done by 9pm ET sharp–the remaining Juno Awards were handed out in Calgary last night. (The bulk of the awards were given away at the gala dinner on Saturday; you can find those winners here.)

The Weeknd took a total of five awards over the weekend (say that out loud; it sounds…awkward), including Single of the Year and Album of the Year during the TV broadcast. He had already been named Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and got a trophy for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year Saturday night.

Alessia Cara picked up Breakthrough Artist of the Year while other awards went to Dean Brody’s Gypsy Road for Country Album of the Year. Beliebers made sure that Justin Bieber won the JUNO Fan Choice Award. And finally, there was a big tribute to Burton Cummings as he was welcomed into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

A full list of winners can be found here.
