JUNO Awards release details of Gord Downie tribute at this year’s event

You just knew there was going to be a Gord Downie segment on the JUNOS broadcast on March 25.

Dallas Green and Sarah Harmer will team up for a special tribute performance. Both were friends of Gord. In fact, the last time Dallas performed at the JUNOS, Gord was onstage singing with him.

What form the tribute will take is still to be determined. But you can bet that there won’t be a dry eye in the house.

This year’s JUNOS will take place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The broadcast will be on CBC starting at 8 pm, Sunday, March 25. I’ll be there covering the whole thing for Vintage-TV.
