Kanye won’t be running for president next year.

Over the last five years or so, Kanye West has had a nasty delusion that he could be president of the United States. President Ye? Jeezus, what could go wrong wtih that?

Kanye’s first run was in 2019 but didn’t get much traction (thankfully), but still convinced 50,000 people to vote for him. And he, unlike Donald Trump, gracefully conceded defeat to Joe Biden. But he vowed to be back for 2024.

Well, nope. Bruce Marks, his personal attorney (how awful must that job be?) has confirmed that Ye will not be a candidate for office in 2024. There apparently were some kind of campaign plans, but Marks says things are winding down. No money has been allocated to running in any primary and in any of the 50 states. He’s raised no money and his campaign committee has less than US$25,000 in the bank.
