Kanye’s SNL appearance was kinda meh. But when the cameras were off, he started talking. That’s when it got interesting.

Last night’s SNL season opening with Kanye West was…okay. Not that we should have been surprised, though, because you never know what version of Kanye is going to show up on any given night in any given place.

And frankly, we were hoping for some extra weirdness because the afternoon of the show, Kanye let it known that he’s changing his name to “YE.

Variety gives his performance a rating of “meh“–and I’d have to agree.

But at the end of the night when the cameras were off, Kanye YE went on a political rant, offering up his praise for Donald Trump and reaffirming his conviction to run for president in 2020.
