Katy Perry Is the Highest-Selling Digital Artist Ever. (Well, So Far…)
As of yesterday (June 25), the Recording Industry Association of America says that Katy Perry is the US’s (and therefore the world’s) best-selling artist in terms of digital sales.
Through her three albums, she’s moved 72,000,000 digital singles (the first artist to move beyond 70 million), which is at least 20 million ahead of any other artist. This includes 18 gold, 16 platinum and 56 multi-platinum digital awards.
