Scientology counts plenty musicians amongst its followers: Beck, Will Smith, Bijou Phillips, rapper Doug E. Fresh, Juliette Lewis, Edgar Winter, Chaka Khan, jazzman Chick Corea, the late Isaac Hayes. Not surprising, music is important to the Church–so important that it had its own “Up with People”–like youth pop ground from 1992 to 2012.
