Kraftwerk Bringing 3-D Concert Experience to Canada

I’ve seen exactly one Kraftwerk show in my life.  While their live sound was better than anything I’d ever heard in my life–it was pristine, man–the show itself wasn’t exactly riveting.  Onstage were four identically-dressed guys standing behind identical podiums doing something on identical laptops.  It was like watching a group answer their email for 90 minutes.

But listen, this is Kraftwerk, fer crissakes.  I don’t think anyone left that show feeling ripped off.  I certainly didn’t.  Those visuals were all part of the experience.

Kraftwerk has just announced what they’re calling a 3D concert experience which they will bring to a number of venues around the world.  Canada’s two dates will be at the Sony Centre in Toronto on March 29 (which should sound awesome) and the Metropolis in Montreal (great sightlines!) on March 30.

I’m in.  Who’s with me?  More details at Exclaim.
