Lady Gaga’s Manager: “Free Stuff Will Kill Piracy”

Troy Carter, Lady Gaga’s manager, is one of the smartest dudes in music these days.  When it comes to the future of music and music consumption, he gets it.

Here’s what he recently told the Brisbane Times:

“I think piracy itself is going to end up going away. If you can get something for absolutely free [instead of] stealing it, and the quality of free is actually better than the quality of stealing it, the choice becomes easy.”
