Lazarus Cast Album to be Released in October

It has been eight months since David Bowie’s passing. In November Lazarus, a musical written by Bowie and Enda Walsh, opens at Kings Cross Theatre in London. Lazarus opened at the New York Theatre Workshop to massive critical acclaim that the Rolling Stone called “milk-swimming, lingerie-sniffing, gin-chugging theater at its finest”.

On October 21 the cast and band of the original New York production will release their versions of Bowie songs from Lazarus. You can pre-order the album on September 16 and get instant downloads of the cast versions of “Life on Mars?” (Sophia Anne Caruso) and the title track (Michael C. Hall).

Additionally, the album includes Bowie’s final three studio recordings: “No Plan”, “Killing A Little Time”, and “When I Met You”. Bowie co-produced these final three songs with Tony Visconti and recorded with Donny McCaslin and his quartet, the same band that played on Blackstar. The original version of “Lazarus” is also included on the cast album.

The Lazarus Cast Album comes as either a two CD or three LP set.
