Leave it to the Flaming Lips to come up with the perfect way to stage a COVID-19 concert

It’ll be some time before we feel comfortable going back to gigs in the way we used to. Until then, we’ll have to get our live music fix through things like live streams, drive-in concerts, and–if this is any indication–shows in bubbles.

The Flaming Lips came up with a way of keeping everyone safe during a show. They have experience with using big bubbles at their shows–it’s been a Wayne Coyne trick for years–so they just expanded the concept.
