Les Paul (He of the Guitar and Multi-Track Recording) Once Ran a Pirate Radio Station

Les Paul is known for (a) the Gibson guitar that bears his name; and (b) this pioneering work in developing multi-track (or as he called it, “sound-on-sound”) recording. But until I found this article at Flypaper, I had no idea that he was also a pirate radio broadcaster.
